MOL Hong Kong is founded on 27 May 1971 in the name of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (H.K.) Limited, performing agency functions in Hong Kong.
2002

Renamed as MOL (Asia) Limited on 21 August 2002, with expanding activities including Hong Kong agency services, management of all MOL’s South China offices and some MOL’s Trade Management functions and Area Management in Asia.

Became the Liner Headquarter function in Hong Kong and renamed as MOL Liner Limited.
2018

Integrate the Liner operations into ONE (Ocean Network Express) from 1 April 2018 through the new joint-venture with two other shipping companies, MOL Liner Limited changed its name to MOL Hong Kong and shifted to focus on other MOL businesses and developing new business opportunities in Hong Kong.

MOL has entered into a long-term charter contract with Hong Kong LNG Terminal Limited, to supply a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU), as well as Jetty Operation & Maintenance Services and Port Services for the Hong Kong Offshore LNG Terminal Project.
