Shift Supervisor (REW Grade B/H) (MOL FSRU)

Job Description

In support of the Hong Kong Government’s policy to reduce carbon intensity and increase the proportion of natural gas used for power generation, an offshore LNG import terminal in Hong Kong has been constructed and operated in 2023. MOL FSRU Terminal (Hong Kong) Limited provides operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the Offshore jetty platform.

Work environment:

  • Offshore
  • Shift working position (4 weeks on/4 weeks off, exact rotation scheme to be determined)
  • Individual accommodation cabins will be provided onboard in the FSRU, including food and healthcare facilities.
  • Open-ended contract

What will be your role?

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Jetty Lead. Running a safe, effective, and efficient day-to-day operation of the Hong Kong Offshore LNG Terminal facility, implementing operational plans, and auditing their application to optimize facility operation in line with HK LNG performance criteria.

Your required capabilities and characteristics:

  • Registered Electrical Worker Grade B0 or Grade H0
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Associate Degree/Higher Diploma or above in Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Relevant operational experience preferably in LNG, Oil, Gas, Chemical, or other related processing industry
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Your responsibilities:

Safety, Health, Environment & Quality

  • Ensures compliance with company SHEQ policies during assigned shifts
  • Safeguards team members to adopt exemplary SHEQ behaviors

Operational Excellence

  • Supervises personnel assigned to the shift
  • Plans maintenance activities in facilities during assigned shift
  • Instruct operators about the operation targets for their shifts, indicating details regarding processes and task distribution
  • Supervises and instructs contractor on daily maintenance activities
  • Ensure the jetty electrical systems are compliant at all times with company policies and procedures, appropriate legislation, and relevant codes of practice
  • Coordinate shift activities with the maintenance team, whilst maintaining good communications with all plant staff during assigned shift
  • Implement operating plans to fully utilize the operating capabilities of the plant terminal and maximize revenue
  • Provide guidance, instruction, and direction to operators; assess, review, and provide feedback on performance; indicate desired corrective actions
  • Manage and update work instructions
  • Improve the effectiveness of work procedures
  • Prepare and guide minor maintenance activities with the team and interact with the contractor when required
  • Manages the jetty spare parts and orders them from the Asset Owner when required

Training & Development

  • Update the work operating and safety procedures to improve effectiveness, and contribute to the development and implementation of learning and development programs.
  • Attend all training courses as required in order to perform the operation, maintenance, safety-related activities, or staff development.

Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
